90Ride is committed to providing the highest quality service to our riders. To maintain this standard, we only onboard drivers who are actively driving for Uber or Lyft and have high ratings.

Basic Requirements

To drive with 90Ride, you'll need to meet these basic requirements

Driver Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Have at least 1 year of driving experience in the U.S.
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • Pass a driving record check
  • Have a smartphone compatible with our app

Vehicle Requirements

  • 4-door car, truck, or SUV
  • Model year 2008 or newer
  • Good condition with no cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding
  • Pass a vehicle inspection
  • Current registration and insurance

Document Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of vehicle insurance
  • Proof of vehicle registration
  • Clear profile photo
  • Personal and vehicle insurance details
  • Consent for background check

What We Check

Safety is our top priority at 90Ride. We partner with accredited background check providers to conduct comprehensive screenings on all potential drivers. Our background check includes:

Criminal History

We check county, state, and national criminal databases and sex offender registries to identify any concerning criminal history.

Driving Record

We review your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to check for major violations, DUIs, reckless driving incidents, and any license suspensions.

Identity Verification

We verify your identity through Social Security number validation and address history verification.

Ongoing Screening

We don't just check once. 90Ride continuously monitors driver records to ensure continued compliance with our safety standards.

Disqualifying Factors

The following may disqualify you from driving with 90Ride:

Criminal History
  • Felony convictions
  • Violent crime convictions
  • Sexual offenses
  • Drug-related offenses within the past 7 years
  • Property damage or theft offenses within the past 7 years
Driving Record
  • DUI or drug-related driving offenses within the past 7 years
  • Reckless driving within the past 3 years
  • More than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Major moving violations in the past 3 years
  • At-fault accidents resulting in fatality or serious injury
  • Driving with a suspended, revoked, or invalid license

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, at our current stage, we only onboard drivers who are actively driving for Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare platforms and maintain high ratings. This is also beneficial for you as you may keep all the rideshare apps on while driving to maximize your earnings.

Standard background checks typically take 3-5 business days to complete. However, you may not be able to drive for 90Ride until we launch in your state.

Absolutely! Drivers can maintain accounts with multiple platforms. We encourage you to compare your earnings and experiences. We're confident that once you see the difference in earnings and transparency with 90Ride, you'll choose to drive with us more often.

While we generally require vehicles from 2008 or newer, we may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, especially for experienced drivers with excellent ratings and well-maintained vehicles. Please note the specific age requirements in your city, as they may vary slightly based on local regulations.
